In the mid-80s, Navy travels took me to Japan, where a traditional matsuri captivated me with towering, colorful street floats, pounding drums, and vibrant processions. These early photos, pulled from dusty negatives, aren’t technically perfect but instantly transport me back to that magical blend of ancient tradition and pure energy.
